7 People Hurt in SF Taxi and Limousine Collision
In today’s San Francisco Chronicle an accident involving seven people was reported at the intersection of Jones and Sutter streets on February 6, 2011 around 2 a.m.
Although several details remain unclear, the report does reveal that at least seven people were sent to the hospital “when a taxicab and limousine collided early Sunday morning in San Francisco‘s lower Nob Hill neighborhood,” according to police.
The story also identifies an Officer Albie Esparzano, who relayed that there was no information as to who was at fault in the collision at the time of the incident. It was clear from the scene however, that “the impact sent one of the vehicles into a light pole, knocking loose the streetlight cover.”
As a result, the object was reported to have fallen, injuring two pedestrians, Esparza noted.
In addition to the pedestrians, five occupants in the vehicles were also injured. Finally, Esparza described the injuries via the Chronicle as “non-life-threatening injuries.” However, according to the report Esparza confirms, “all seven people were transported to hospitals.”
